Emir Hadzic is a U.S. Marine veteran who recently retired after 20 years of service. He came to the United States in 1995 as a refugee fleeing the conflict in Bosnia. His message to other veterans: We gave an oath that we will support and defend the Constitution. That oath does not have an expiration date.

Alex Vazquez is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a law student, and the son of Nicaraguan refugees. As a veteran, he believes its important to speak up for refugees, aslyum speakers, and immigrants. "Everything I’ve aimed to do after my service in the military has been, in some way or another, motivated by how I believe I can best contribute to the betterment of our society, as opposed to personal gain, and how to strengthen our capacity for public service."
