Samey Honaryar bravely served the U.S. military in Afghanistan as an interpreter, and endangered his life in the process. The Taliban came after him, but he escaped to the United States and asked for asylum. He deserves protection. But the immigration judge ordered him to be deported back to Afghanistan based on remarkably bad judgment and ignorance about the danger interpreters like Samey face. Samey has appealed and will have another hearing. But the fight is just beginning.
